Bekaert Drives Forward with Cleaner Fuel Logistics, Partners with GreenLine
Bekaert, a global leader in tire reinforcement technology, has taken a decisive step toward sustainable logistics by partnering with GreenLine Mobility Solutions to decarbonize its road transport operations.
As part of its broader ESG commitment, Bekaert has been actively working to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions. Through this initiative with GreenLine, it now aims to significantly lower its Scope 3 emissions—demonstrating real progress towards net-zero ambitions.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), used in GreenLine’s long-haul fleet, is a cleaner alternative to diesel, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 30%, and significantly cutting sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and particulate matter.
The transition was formally launched at a flag-off ceremony at Bekaert’s Ranjangaon facility. The event was attended by Bekaert leadership, including Mr. Roopak Karnik, Mr. Dinesh Mukhedkar, Mr. Amit Kulkarni, Mr. Kiran Kale, and several senior team members such as Mr. Santosh Hadawale, Mr. Porus Pithawalla, Mr. Kedar Patil, Mr. Mithun Chakravarthy, and others who have played a pivotal role in driving this sustainability effort.
Also present were Mr. Rakesh Bhatia and Mr. Pinaki Bhattacharjee from Apollo Tyres Ltd, sharing industry-wide perspectives on cleaner transport.
GreenLine was represented by Kaizad Pesi Palia, Aniruddha Neogi, Manoj Hegde, Niraj Singh, and Dr. Dimpll Khanna, reflecting our continued focus on enabling cleaner fuel adoption across India’s industrial supply chains. This collaboration is not just a change in fuel—it’s a step towards a cleaner, climate-conscious logistics ecosystem.
