GreenLine showcases green freight vision at India EV Show 2025

GreenLine Mobility Solutions, the green logistics arm of Essar, marked its presence at the 5th Edition of the India EV Show- EV India Expo & Conference 2025, organised by Entrepreneur India Magazine on 27th–28th June 2025 at the Chennai Trade Centre, Tamil Nadu. The event served as a significant platform to explore the evolving electric mobility landscape and its role in shaping a sustainable future for India.

Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine, joined a high-level panel discussion titled ‘Driving the Future: The Role of Electric Commercial Vehicles in India’s Sustainable Mobility Transition’, alongside other experts including I. V. Rao (Distinguished Fellow, TERI), Dr. Anita Gupta (Scientist ‘G’/Advisor & Head–CEST, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India), and Sudeep Ambare (CEO, ARAI – Advanced Mobility, Transformation & Innovation Foundation).

Speaking on the panel, Mr. Mimani highlighted the critical role of heavy-duty vehicle electrification in achieving India’s decarbonisation goals. He spoke about GreenLine’s dual approach—leveraging LNG vehicles for long-haul logistics and advancing EVs with battery swapping technology for short-haul operations—as a commercially viable and environmentally responsible pathway.

He highlighted that GreenLine has already commissioned battery swapping stations in Pune, with plans to scale this infrastructure nationwide, in conjunction with solar-powered charging solutions for a truly green energy ecosystem. Mr. Mimani also reiterated GreenLine’s focus on real-time carbon tracking, telematics integration, and driver safety technologies, which together enhance operational efficiency and ESG compliance.

With a firm commitment to inclusive sustainability, he spoke about empowering women drivers to take the wheel in India’s green mobility journey.
