About Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is the cleanest burning fossil fuel, with significantly low toxic emissions compared to traditional fossil fuels. It is also versatile, with applications as automotive and industrial fuel.
Natural gas is converted into Liquefied Natural Gas, a liquid that is 1/600th of its original volume, by cooling it to -260° F (-162° C). This significant decrease in volume enables it to be transported economically and securely onboard LNG tanker trucks.
Use of LNG in trucks can enable the freight transportation industry to remain competitive while reducing emissions immediately.
